Bruce Peninsula - Cypress Lake - Poplars #3

 When we booked this site, we had high hopes for it's "good" privacy. It really seemed like it would be so. However, we felt disappointed upon arrival to learn that the other campgrounds were much closer than we anticipated and the wood between us really didn't feel like it provided good privacy at all.

Algonquin - Pog Lake – Campsite 431

This is a great campsite for those looking to use the boat launch or spend most of the time on the water exploring. There is a convenient little private trail/short cut that leads to the boat launch parking lot, small beach and the dry toilets. The small beach is sandy and has a nice shallow entrance which is good for the kids. Although, the larger beach in Pog Lake is way sunnier and more spacious for swimming and is my preference. pictured above is a private trail to one of the dry washroom stations a cute visitor beautiful pine trees overhead provide plenty of shade The campsite The site itself is large and fairly flat without any major slopes. It provides plenty of distance between campsites for privacy.  The pine forest around is pretty lovely to wander through and you can walk to the edge of the river. Algonquin - Pog Lake - site 223

We have been to Pog lake many times prior, but this year we booked a site in the No Pet/ No Radio zone of Pog Lake.  It seemed like a beautiful area and with private access to the lake. Last year we became proud owners of our first kayak. An inflatable kayak - Explorer K2, a 2 seater, but it comfortably fit all 3 of us. Two adults and one toddler.  The site turned out to be incredibly beautiful with gorgeous sunset views!!!  Pros:  - beautiful sunsets  - private access to lake  - sandy boat launch, no rocks and little seaweed  - large public beach is pretty close too  - main washroom is 5 min away  - small basic washrooms are close you can see them from the site  Cons:  - slanted ground, tricky to put up more than 1 tent  - privacy is not super and neighbors are visible from one side Overall: Definitely recommend if you have a boat or any kind of floatation device with you, but don't bring a beach ball because it will const...
